Celebrating, supporting, and uplifting Knoxville's LGBTQIA+ community

SoKno Pride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization creating opportunities for connection, visibility, and belonging through community events, partnerships, and our annual Pride celebration.

Our Story

SoKno Pride began in 2021 on Sevier Avenue as a drag brunch and has grown into a movement rooted in connection, visibility, and belonging. Today, we host an annual Pride festival and events throughout the year that bring people together, foster connection, and support LGBTQIA+ folks in South Knoxville and beyond.Through community grants, nonprofit partnerships, and event proceeds, we also invest directly in local organizations and initiatives that help strengthen and uplift our community across East Tennessee.

Mission & Values

SoKno Pride creates joyful spaces where queer people and allies can gather in love, celebrate who they are, and experience the magic of belonging. We believe in showing up fully, living proudly, and building a Knoxville where every person feels seen, celebrated, connected, and free to be exactly who they are.

Our Impact

Creating spaces for queer joy
Thousands of people gather with us each year to celebrate boldly, show up authentically, and experience the joy of being surrounded by community.

Strengthening community connections
We partner with local businesses and community organizations that share our commitment to visibility, inclusion, and belonging.

Building belonging year-round
Pride is more than a single celebration. We create opportunities throughout the year for queer people and allies to connect, build relationships, and feel at home in Knoxville.

Powered by community
Everything we do is made possible by the volunteers, sponsors, partners, and supporters who believe in creating a Knoxville where everyone feels seen, celebrated, and free to be fully themselves.
